Welcome to the official site of The Fighting Mongooses of UTPA: the University of Texas-Pan American undergraduate electrical engineering, senior design robotics team competing in the upcoming IEEE Region 5 Robotics Competition in Tulsa, Oklahoma in spring of 2012. The purpose of this site is to track the team’s progress during the design and implementation of a successful robotics project with the eventual goal to compete and win against other universities in a national IEEE student robotics competition in the spring of 2012. The team name is lightheartedly inspired by one of Matt Groening’s early Futurama animated series episodes, “The Farnsworth Parabox (2003)”.
